Welcome to Florence Michaels’ Blog,
Writing as Florence Michaels, this is my first blog as I begin my writer’s journey as a new children’s book author. Twins, Sisters, and Friends is my first children’s book. My website, florencemichaels.com, is where you will find my latest books, blog, news and updates. I will be sharing insights behind each book creation as well as what steps were taken to publish it.
The purpose of my blog will be twofold covering both the story behind the book and the topics involved in creating and publishing a book. To make it easier for you the reader, the blog title will be be labeled as either Story or Journey.
I enjoy writing handwritten letters and cards. There is so much opportunity for creativity in letter writing, from the content of the letter to how it is presented.
I started writing short stories and sending them to friends and colleagues. I also write poems for friends and family. Sometimes, I make my own comic strips.
One of my favorite pastimes is storytime. Here is where parents and children can really explore a story through discussion. I would encourage you to discuss this and other stories read with children.
Writing brings me to a special peaceful state, it is something that I truly enjoy. I hope you will enjoy reading and and listening to these stories.
